Jonathan Shaw appointed to RICS Scotland board

Jonathan Shaw (pictured), operations director at Harvey Donaldson & Gibson Chartered Surveyors, has been co-opted onto the RICS Scotland board.

Shaw brings with him extensive experience in residential surveying and valuation, having worked across the Scottish property market for over two decades.

In his role with Harvey Donaldson & Gibson – part of the Countrywide Group – he has played a central role in driving operational improvements and supporting professional development across the firm’s network of RICS-qualified surveyors.

His appointment will support RICS Scotland’s strategic focus on quality, regulation, and leadership in the profession at a time of major change across the housing, valuation and infrastructure sectors.

Shaw said: “I’m honoured to join the RICS Scotland board and look forward to supporting its important work in shaping the future of the profession.

“We’re at a pivotal time for the surveying industry, and I’m committed to helping ensure that RICS continues to lead from the front in professional standards, innovation, and best practice across the built environment.”

Professor Norman K. McLennan, chair of RICS Scotland, added: “Jonathan brings a wealth of hands-on experience and respected leadership within the residential and valuation sectors.

“His appointment strengthens our ability to represent the full breadth of the profession in Scotland.

“I’m delighted to welcome him to the board and look forward to his outstanding contribution.”
