Together has confirmed that Marc Goldberg (pictured), CEO of sales and distribution, will retire in December 2026 after 38 years at the firm.
He will step down from the group board on 30th June 2025.
As part of succession planning, Ryan Etchells, chief commercial officer, will take on extra responsibilities for sales and distribution from 1st July 2025 and work with Goldberg to ensure a smooth transition.
Goldberg said: “I am so proud of Together and all that the company has achieved and have had the pleasure of working with inspirational colleagues, customers and business partners over the course of my career.
“I have relished the opportunity and part that I have played helping to build the business to the success that it is today and will be excited to see how Together will evolve further in the future.
“My focus over the next 18 months is to support Ryan in his new role and making sure that we continue to support our customers, colleagues and business partners with the right outcomes.”
Together made three appointments to its executive team as it prepares for further growth.
Cheryl Brough joins as chief people officer from Prima Assicurazioni in Italy, where she was chief people and culture officer.
Brough has previously held senior roles at Provident Financial Group and Cabot Credit Management.
Dave Sutherland has been appointed chief operating officer.
Sutherland joins from Bank of Ireland where he was group director of business efficiency and interim CEO (UK).
He has also held roles at Arrow Global, TD Bank, GE Capital and Santander UK.
Candice Lott has been named chief marketing officer.
Lott was previously owner and founder of consultancy We Are The Digital Type, working with brands such as easyjet, parkrun and the Post Office.
She has also held senior marketing roles at Greene King, Nandos, Thomas Cook and Compare the Market.
The new executives will start from July and will work with group chief executive officer Richard Rowntree and the rest of the executive team.
