Connells Group appoints two non-executive directors to support growth strategy

Connells Group has announced the appointment of Andrew Bottomley and Ash Piranie as non-executive directors, strengthening its board at what it described as a pivotal time for the business. The pair join chairman Mark Lund and bring extensive experience in financial services, customer strategy, and operational transformation.

Bottomley has more than 35 years of experience in financial services, including senior roles at Halifax and Lloyds, with a focus on estate agency, new homes and mortgages. He was formerly executive director and CEO of Money at Skipton Building Society, where he led regulatory and operational risk initiatives and transformation programmes with a customer-centric focus.

Piranie recently stepped down as chief financial officer at Redwood Bank and currently holds non-executive roles at Monument Bank and GB Bank, where he also chairs the risk committees. He brings over two decades of experience in the sector, with a background in risk management, M&A activity and large-scale change programmes.

Mark Lund, chairman of Connells Group, said: “We are delighted to welcome Andrew and Ash to Connells Group. Their exceptional experience and fresh perspectives will add real value as we drive forward our plans for growth and transformation. Strengthening our board with their insight is a significant step in delivering our long-term strategic vision.”
