HomeOwners Alliance has added an artificial intelligence (AI)-powered chatbot, built by Surrey-based fintech business MQube, to its website.
The new tool is designed to support and educate visitors about the homebuying process.
Now, visitors can use the chatbot to ask property questions such as “How do I start the process of getting a mortgage” or “How do I know if I can afford to buy a house”.
The answers are generated by AI using HomeOwners Alliance’s existing content.
The chatbot, called Criteria Genius, uses large language models to answer questions based on the website’s content.
AI chatbots work around the clock, can handle many conversations at once, and are a more cost-effective option than using people to answer questions.
Paula Higgins, CEO at HomeOwners Alliance, said: “Buying a home is one of the biggest and most stressful decisions people make, and we want to make sure they get the right advice at the right time.
“Our new chatbot means people can now get instant, personalised answers to their property questions, day or night.
“It’s an important step in using technology to help more people feel informed and in control of the homebuying process.”
Stuart Cheetham, CEO at MQube, said: “As an industry the more we can do to use the cutting edge of AI and financial technology to enhance the way we educate and support consumers as well as create efficiencies that enriches the customer experience, the better.
“It’s fantastic to see HomeOwners Alliance leading the charge, doing just this, and are delighted they have chosen to launch MQube’s chatbot and can see how valuable this tool will be for its website visitors.”
