L&G improves adviser control with OLP Connect platform enhancements

Legal & General has introduced a range of features to its OLP Connect platform, aiming to give advisers greater control and improve the customer experience across protection applications and policy management.

OLP Connect is the insurer’s online application platform for intermediaries, offering a suite of tools to manage new business and existing client policies.

The latest updates have been developed in response to adviser feedback and were designed to enhance usability and streamline key processes.

A new webpage brings together core platform resources in one place, including platform tips, FAQs, and short overview videos.

The content will be refreshed every quarter, with advisers invited to contribute suggestions via their business development managers (BDMs).

Advisers are now able to manage client retention entirely within the platform.

The Existing Business Agent Hub allows direct, secure updates to customer payment details – including changes to bank information, payment dates, and arrears.

Advisers can also cancel policies on a client’s behalf, with supporting documentation and refund information available online.

Julie Godley, Director of Intermediary, Retail Protection at Legal & General, said: “OLP Connect has always been a key part of our commitment to supporting intermediary partners.

“These latest enhancements make it even easier to do business with us – simplifying adviser processes so they can spend more time with clients and deliver better outcomes.

“We’ve drawn on our technical and digital expertise to ensure the platform remains intuitive, powerful, and responsive to adviser needs.

“Feedback from users plays a vital role in shaping every update, and these improvements are designed to give advisers greater control and deeper insights — especially important as they’re often the first point of contact for customers.”
