LMS upgrades DART to boost transparency for remortgage customers

LMS has updated its decisioning and automated remortgage technology (DART) to make the remortgage process clearer for customers using lenders on the platform.

The update gives customers more information upfront at the beginning of their transaction, making it easier for them to see any extra legal work, documents needed, or additional legal fees that may come up.

DART can now instantly analyse case details to flag if a case is more complex or if extra costs apply.

Any complexities or fees are then set out clearly for the customer.

Cases can move forward automatically through DART, or go to a specialist team for manual checks if needed.

All parties can see their obligations from the start, which LMS said should help build confidence and save time.

Suzanne O’Connor, chief relationship officer at LMS, said: “We knew there was potential for DART, not just in automation, but to make the customer journey more transparent.

“We identified that we could enhance the customer experience using the data we already receive through this technology.

“Our aim isn’t just to speed up the process — we want customers to walk away feeling positive after having an easy and stress-free remortgage journey.”
