Jackie Bennett re-appointed as Residential Property Forum chair

Jackie Bennett OBE (pictured) has been re-appointed for a second term as chair of the Residential Property Forum (RPF), a group brought together by the Bank of England (BoE) to help keep an eye on the UK’s residential property sector.

Her new term will run for three years until April 2028.

Bennett recently semi-retired after almost 25 years in the mortgage sector, including the last seven years at UK Finance.

She worked as a senior advisor focusing on personal finance and before that was director of mortgages.

She also held senior roles at the Council of Mortgage Lenders and other mortgage lenders. Bennett is currently a non-executive director at the New Homes Quality Board and an advisor to Climate X.

She is also a trustee of the FairLife Charity and gives independent advice to financial services businesses.

Bennett said: “I’m delighted to have been re-appointed as Chair of the RPF.

“The forum has an important role in providing a broader understanding of what is happening in the mortgage and housing markets to the Bank.

“I look forward to continuing to bring together experts from a diverse range of backgrounds for our discussions.”

Peter Pereira-Gray, the current vice-chair who started in April 2022, has also been re-appointed for another three-year term.

Pereira-Gray was previously managing partner and chief executive officer of the Wellcome Trust investment division and is now non-executive chairman at Urban & Civic.
