Aviva Investors has announced the appointment of Rory Spriggs as Investment Manager within its Real Estate Equity team, as the business looks to expand its presence in the UK housing market.
Spriggs joins with a remit to support the growth and scaling of Aviva Investors’ housing strategies through strategic partnerships and co-investment initiatives.
He will report to Imogen Ebbs, Head of Strategic Investment, and focus on building on the momentum of the firm’s recent £1.5bn housing deployment.
A CAIA Charterholder, Spriggs brings experience across multiple real estate asset classes.
He was previously at Legal & General, where he led direct investments in long-term housing sectors including single-family rental, urban build-to-rent and affordable housing.
During his time there, he played a key role in scaling the business’s housing platforms and was involved in launching its Affordable Housing Fund.
He also served as a director of L&G’s single-family rental business. Earlier in his career, he worked at pan-European investment firm D2 Private.
