Welland Homes has paid its first ever dividend, delivering £65,953 to South Holland District Council after a strong 2024/25.
The company, set up by the council in 2015 to boost housing in the South, has now reached 10 years in business and owns 57 market rental properties.
Over the last financial year, Welland Homes also gave over £100,000 to local groups, including Citizens Advice South Lincolnshire, Active Lincolnshire and South Holland in Bloom.
Total donations from the company now stand at over £569,607.
Councillors Bryan Alcock, Henry Bingham, Michael Booth, Paul Redgate, Elizabeth Sneath and Jack Tyrrell, all directors of the Welland Homes board, said: “We are delighted that the company has not only been able to continue to support important causes that help improve the lives of people living in the district but is also now in a position to deliver a dividend payment to the shareholder for the first time.
“This is an enormous achievement, and is a testament to the hard work of everyone involved with the company, as it has rightly established itself over the last ten years as a landlord of choice, providing high-quality and desirable homes for our residents right here in South Holland.”
Councillor Nick Worth, leader of South Holland District Council, said: “Delivering improved housing services that deliver value for money to residents is at the heart of what we want to do as a council, and for our vision of creating a greater Lincolnshire for all through the future shape of our local government.
“This is a fantastic achievement by Welland Homes, and all of our local businesses, workers and partners who make it possible.
“Most importantly though, it is making a real difference to the lives of those residents and tenants for who these are not just houses, but a desirable, safe and quality place that they can call their home.”
