Wesleyan has expanded its intermediaries distribution team with four senior hires as the financial services mutual looks to increase its support for advisers across the UK.
Justin Towlson, Gavin Ingram and Tony Lord have been appointed as regional sales managers for London and the South East, Scotland and Northern Ireland, and the Midlands respectively.
They will focus on driving the expansion of Wesleyan’s smoothed With Profits Fund within the adviser market.
The fund uses a platform-first design and smoothing mechanism to overcome historic barriers to daily pricing, trading and smoothing.
In addition, Andy Mackelworth, formerly regional sales manager for the Midlands, has been promoted to national account manager.
In his new role, he will be responsible for strengthening relationships with advice firms and platform partners to help integrate Wesleyan’s fund into a wider range of investment propositions.
Chris Whittingham, national sales manager at Wesleyan, said: “We’re continuing to expand our intermediaries team to help more advisers access the benefits of smoothing on-platform during a time of prolonged market volatility.
“It’s been four years since we launched our flagship fund to the intermediary market.
“The skills and experience that Justin, Gavin, Tony and Andy’s appointments give us, will allow us to maximise a busy pipeline of growth opportunities in the years ahead.”
