Orbit has published its 2025 Sustainability Report, highlighting that it generated £26.3m in social value over the last year through initiatives like the Better Days programme.
The report set out progress on social value, environmental work and customer support, and confirmed 781 new affordable homes were delivered.
Orbit reported that 87.84% of its properties now have an energy performance certificate (EPC) rating of C or above, in line with its 2030 strategy.
Additionally, Orbit also recorded a 36% cut in its carbon footprint, with a target to become carbon neutral in operations by 2030.
Over 18% of outdoor spaces now support nature’s recovery, and thousands of native trees, hedges and wildflowers have been planted.
A zero waste approach has also been launched to promote a circular economy.
Afzal Ismail, chief regulatory and governance officer for Orbit, said: “Our 2025 Sustainability Report reflects Orbit’s unwavering commitment to making a positive difference for our customers, communities, and the planet.
“While we are proud of our achievements, we know there is more to do.
“We remain focused on delivering safe, affordable homes, supporting customers through the cost-of-living crisis, and driving the transition to net zero.”
