TMG Mortgage Network CEO named Lord of the Manor of Rotherham

Scott Thorpe (pictured), CEO and founder of TMG Mortgage Network, has been named Lord of the Manor of Rotherham.

Thorpe said the title was not about heritage or status, but about building pride in Rotherham, encouraging more people into financial services careers, and supporting local causes.

Thorpe said: “This isn’t about me—it’s about Rotherham. It’s about proving that you can come from here, build something lasting, and use success to create opportunities for others.”

Thorpe said he plans to show that a business started in Rotherham can have national reach and still remain part of the local community.

His autobiography, ‘From Second Charges to Lord of the Manor’, will cover his journey.

All proceeds will be donated to charity.

Thorpe added: “This isn’t just another business book—it’s about life, leadership, and legacy. It’s about the reality of setbacks, risk, and resilience.

“If even one person reads it and thinks, ‘I can build something too,’ then it’s done its job.”
