Share to Buy has launched a commuter search tool on its website, aimed at helping buyers find affordable homes based on commute times as well as location.
The tool is part of a new feature called ‘My Places’, which lets users save important destinations, such as work, school or family, and search for homes within their preferred travel time and method.
The feature has been designed to make it easier for users to search for properties that fit around their daily routines, including work, childcare and other commitments.
This function forms a central part of Share to Buy’s updated website.
Nick Lieb, chief operations officer at Share to Buy, said: “Buying a home is about much more than just postcode and price. Our users are juggling jobs, childcare and more – they need search tools that reflect that.
“My Places is designed to meet buyers where they are, offering a smarter, more intuitive way to find homes that work for real life.
“As the UK’s leading platform for affordable homeownership, we’re proud to offer new functionality that makes the search process clearer and more supportive for aspiring homeowners who are exploring their options, giving buyers the space to search for their ideal home with purpose.”
