HM Land Registry completed 1,748,118 applications in August 2025, down from 2,052,588 in July and 1,876,215 in August last year.
Of these, 285,459 were register updates, 986,558 were for official copies, 193,398 were search and hold queries, 94,756 were transactions for value, and 15,105 were postal applications from non-account holders.
The South East had the highest number of applications at 394,824, followed by Greater London with 318,096.
The North West reached 201,180, the South West 170,973, the West Midlands 149,516, Yorkshire and the Humber 139,516, and the East Midlands 129,634.
The North recorded 88,145, East Anglia 75,440, Wales 80,599, and the Isles of Scilly recorded 83.
