First Mortgage Solutions has taken over Jim Kelly Mortgage Services, an established mortgage advisory firm in North Wales.
The deal forms part of First Mortgage Solutions’ strategy to grow its reach in the North and gives clients in the region access to its wider financial services.
The firm will now operate under the First Mortgage Solutions name, with clients able to draw on more resources and support from the new team.
Additionally, Jim Kelly, founder of Jim Kelly Mortgage Services, has announced that he is retiring after almost three decades running the business.
Christopher Davies, director at First Mortgage Solutions, said: “It’s a real honour to be taking over from Jim, who has built such a well-respected and trusted business in North Wales.
“I am very much looking forward to meeting and speaking with clients across North Wales.
“At First Mortgage Solutions, our promise is to continue that same tradition of trust and personal service.”
Davies added: “On behalf of the whole team, I want to thank Jim for putting his faith in us, and we’re excited to build on the incredible foundation he has created.”
Jim Kelly, founder of Jim Kelly Mortgage Services, said: “After 28 years of running my business from Bank Place in Porthmadog, I have made the decision to retire.
“It has been a real privilege to work with so many clients over the years, and I am deeply grateful for all the trust, loyalty, and support shown to me.
“While I look forward to retirement, I am pleased to confirm that the business is being transferred to Christopher Davies of First Mortgage Solutions Ltd.”
Kelly added: “Christopher brings extensive experience in mortgages, life insurance, and wills, and I am confident that clients will continue to receive the same high-quality advice and personal service they have come to expect. I leave knowing the business is in very capable hands.”
