Knight Property Group strengthens leadership team with new director

Knight Property Group has strengthened its leadership team with the appointment of James Barrack Jnr (pictured) as director.

Barrack Jnr, son of co-founder and chairman James Barrack and grandson of co-founder Hamish Barrack, joins the business after graduating with honours in real estate from Oxford Brookes University.

He previously worked at JLL and Alternative Real Estate Advisors (AREA), focusing on asset portfolio analysis across the UK.

Barrack Jnr will be based at Knight’s Edinburgh office, leading business development in Scotland and supporting the company’s plans to move into new UK regional markets.

He will report to managing director Howard Crawshaw and work with the current team on growth, acquisitions and sustainable development.

Barrack Jnr said: “I am excited to be joining Knight Property Group at such a pivotal stage in its journey.

“Building on the strong foundations established by my grandfather, father and the wider Knight team, I look forward to bringing my experience to drive our expansion beyond Scotland and help deliver our long-term vision for growth, diversification and sustainability.”

Crawshaw said: “We are delighted to welcome James Jnr to the board. His proven expertise, entrepreneurial mindset and strong track record in the property sector will be invaluable as we accelerate our growth and take Knight Property Group into its next era.

“This appointment also marks a proud milestone, with a third generation of the Barrack family stepping into a leadership role, carrying forward the trusted personable vision to the business that both Hamish and James Snr have championed before him.”
