Broadstone appoints Andrew Walton as actuarial director

Broadstone, an independent financial services consultancy, has appointed Andrew Walton (pictured) as actuarial director.

Walton brings nearly 20 years’ experience in the pensions industry, advising trustees and corporate sponsors on scheme management, journey planning, member option exercises, valuation strategy and guaranteed minimum pension (GMP) equalisation.

He has led full scheme buyouts and wind-ups through to completion.

Walton will work from Broadstone’s Birmingham and Redditch offices.

He will take on a client-facing role and help develop Broadstone’s consulting services, including in GMP equalisation.

Walton said: “It’s an exciting time to be joining the expanding Broadstone team.

“I look forward to working alongside both existing and new clients to help them achieve their goals and objectives.

“Broadstone offers a flexible consulting approach with a real focus on putting clients first to give them the best opportunity to deliver on their objectives quickly and efficiently.”

Walton added: “Broadstone’s continued growth and positive client feedback is a testament to the value of our proposition.

“I’m confident that my experience, added to Broadstone’s existing offering in the sector, will add significant value as we work towards achieving the best outcomes for members and stakeholders.”

Jeremy Clack, head of midlands advisory at Broadstone, said: “Andrew brings huge sector expertise and we’re delighted to secure his talents at an important time in Broadstone’s growth trajectory.

“We are seeing strong growth in the Midlands region, expanding to a bigger office in the centre of Birmingham and strengthening our team here with experienced industry talent.”
