Competitive clay shooter Chris Morgan has credited the backing of property finance firm MSP Capital for his most successful season to date.
Under a one-year sponsorship agreement with the Dorset-based lender, the Andover sportsman competed across a packed summer calendar, securing top placings in multiple county and regional championships.
Morgan won his class in five major events – including the South of England Sportrap, Surrey County English Sporting, Buckingham County Compak, Dorset County Sportrap, and South West of England English Sporting – and finished second in two others.
He also placed 25th in his class at the World Championships in July, competing against nearly 800 entrants.
Morgan said: “This has been my best ever season at county and regional level, surpassing my goals by a clear margin.
“I’ve had great competitive practice and really high scores. It’s been a great season.”
He described MSP Capital’s support as “tremendous,” adding that the partnership had given him confidence and motivation.
He added: “When you have a backer who believes in you and is part of your journey, it’s huge.”
Morgan also hosted a series of clay shooting events for MSP Capital’s clients and partners, including sessions at Barbury Shooting School in Wiltshire and the Spitfire Shoot in Hampshire.
MSP Capital’s commercial director Adam Tovey said: “Chris is a total professional in competition and an excellent coach.
“His sessions gave our clients and partners a great experience and insight into elite performance.”
Chief executive Leigh Bartlett added: “Supporting Chris reflects our commitment to helping talented individuals reach their potential.
“We congratulate him on a fantastic season and look forward to seeing his continued success next year.”
