The Cambridge to host free online event for first-time buyers

The Cambridge Building Society is offering support to first-time buyers with a free online event aimed at making the homebuying process easier to understand.

Taking place on Tuesday 11th November 2025, the session will provide practical guidance on saving for a deposit, exploring mortgage options and preparing to apply for a mortgage.

The hour-long event will be hosted by mortgage advisers from The Cambridge and will include a live Q&A, giving attendees the chance to ask questions directly.

Emerson White, mortgage adviser at The Cambridge, said: “Buying your first home is a big milestone, but it can feel daunting when you don’t know where to start.

“Our aim is to take away the uncertainty and help people feel prepared and confident. Talking to an adviser early can really help you understand what’s achievable and what steps to take next.”

Andy Fowler, mortgage adviser at The Cambridge, added: “We’ve helped thousands of first-time buyers over the years, and a little early preparation can make a big difference.

“Simple things like joining the electoral roll or checking your affordability can help smooth the process and get you ready to move when the right home comes along.”

The event will run from 6pm to 7pm on Microsoft Teams and is open to anyone planning to buy their first home.
