The Housing Finance Corporation (THFC) has appointed three new senior leaders to its executive team.
Karin Erlander will take on the role of senior director, credit, Susan Bailey will join as senior director, finance, and Andrea Jelic is set to become senior director, capital markets.
Erlander joined in November 2025, bringing 25 years’ experience in credit analysis.
She previously spent 18 years at S&P Global Ratings, focusing on social housing providers, universities and local authorities over the last nine years.
Erlander said: “I’m excited to join The Housing Finance Corporation at such a pivotal time for the group and the affordable housing sector.
“With a strong desire to enable and support The Housing Finance Corporation’s mission to provide financial support to the sector, I am delighted to be able to share my credit analysis skills and deep sector knowledge at The Housing Finance Corporation.”
Bailey starts her new role in December.
She is a chartered accountant with over 30 years’ experience leading finance teams in sectors including financial services, commerce and not-for-profit.
Her previous roles include bank financial controller at Close Brothers bank and group finance director at the Institution of Civil Engineers.
Bailey said: “I am delighted to be joining The Housing Finance Corporation and look forward to contributing to the group’s efforts to enhance its operations in line with its strategic growth agenda.”
Jelic is set to join in the new year and will focus on financing, investor relations, rating agency work and stakeholder engagement.
She has 16 years of debt capital markets experience, working at HSBC, RBC and Nomura, advising UK and European public sector institutions on bond issuance.
Jelic said: “I am delighted to be joining The Housing Finance Corporation and work alongside a team of highly skilled and motivated individuals.
“The institution is uniquely positioned to support UK affordable housing, and I look forward to contributing to its growth at a critical point in time for the sector.”
