Alps partners with ABACUS to expand broker access to add-on products

Alps, the managing general agent specialising in insurance add-on products, legal expenses and claims solutions, has joined the ABACUS online panel in a partnership that will give around 1,500 retail brokers access to a wider range of offerings for landlords and property clients.

Under the agreement, ABACUS brokers now have instant online access to Alps’ home emergency, commercial landlord legal, excess protect and rent protection products.

Through ABACUS’s quote-and-buy platform, brokers can combine these add-ons to create bundled solutions for the 250,000 landlords served across the network.

The arrangement is supported by Alps’ delegated authority agreements, which allow the MGA to administer complex product packages on behalf of multiple insurance and assistance providers.

The firm said the structure is designed to offer tailored options that respond to the changing risk landscape faced by landlords.

Michelle O’Reilly, managing director at Alps, said: “This partnership underlines our commitment to expanding distribution channels in a way that benefits every stakeholder – brokers, carriers, and ultimately landlords.

“By combining ABACUS’s innovative platform with Alps’ breadth of specialist products, we’re making it easier for brokers to access and bundle comprehensive solutions.

“For our carrier partners, it represents a powerful route to market, and for landlords it means wider protection delivered with the claims and legal support we’re known for.

“It’s an exciting step that reflects our ambition to keep evolving with the needs of the market.”
