CrowdProperty appoints Rob Anderson as head of risk and compliance

CrowdProperty has appointed Rob Anderson as head of risk and compliance, bolstering its leadership team as the business continues to scale its proposition for retail investors and property developers.

The firm said Anderson brings extensive experience across risk management, regulatory compliance, conduct risk and financial crime controls, coupled with a strong track record of delivering complex regulatory change.

Based at CrowdProperty’s Birmingham headquarters, Anderson will lead the company’s approach to risk management, compliance and financial crime prevention.

He will work closely with teams across the business to ensure CrowdProperty can continue to grow safely and sustainably while delivering good outcomes for investors and developers.

His recent delivery experience includes designing and implementing end-to-end control frameworks to strengthen oversight, aligning control assessment and testing to enterprise risk management rollouts, and closing significant audit findings.

He has also led multi-project teams focused on efficiency and cost targets, including major operating model and process change programmes.

Before joining CrowdProperty, Anderson held senior roles including head of compliance at Moneybox, head of conduct risk and compliance, policy and controls at Legal & General, and senior compliance manager (conduct risk) at HSBC.

Earlier in his career he held senior risk roles within Lloyds Banking Group and worked as a managing consultant specialising in process improvement, compliance, risk and customer experience.

Anderson said: “I really liked the model CrowdProperty has taken to enable retail investors to participate in the world of property development.

“The experience and credibility of the team was an important factor too, and it’s also great to be working back in Birmingham.

“In my role, I’m responsible for ensuring that CrowdProperty has the right approach to risk, compliance and fighting financial crime, helping the business develop safely while delivering good outcomes for investors and developers.

“I’m really looking forward to helping CrowdProperty grow successfully in 2026, and to enhancing our risk management and compliance approaches to support sustainable success.”
