Sukhi Gidar, CEO and co-founder of Gold Care Homes, has secured an £18.2m loan from OakNorth to acquire the 382-key Delta Hotels by Marriott Heathrow Windsor.
Gidar has over 25 years of experience in UK property and operations.
The hotel sits between Heathrow Airport and Windsor, drawing year-round corporate, airline crew, conference and leisure guests.
It has 382 guest rooms, a leisure club, and food and drink outlets including Market Kitchen, Pizza da Marco and the Brew Bar Lounge.
There are 19 meeting and event spaces for up to 400 people, extensive parking and easy access to major transport links.
The hotel has been refurbished in recent years, with upgrades to rooms, meeting spaces and building systems.
Gidar said: “This acquisition represents a significant step in our expansion into the hospitality sector.
“The hotel’s location, operational potential and strong brand made it an ideal opportunity, and we see clear avenues for enhancing both guest experience and long-term performance.
“OakNorth demonstrated a deep understanding of our vision and moved quickly to structure a facility that supported our objectives.”
Gidar added: “We’re delighted to have partnered with them on this transaction.”
Deepesh Thakrar, managing director of debt finance at OakNorth, said: “Sukhi has a long-established track record of building and operating high-quality real estate assets, and his experience positions him well to unlock the full potential of this hotel.
“With 2025 Heathrow passenger volumes forecast to surpass the airport’s record-breaking 2024 levels, demand for high-quality accommodation in the local market continues to strengthen.
“The Delta Hotels by Marriott Heathrow Windsor is therefore exceptionally well placed, benefiting from its scale, brand and strategic location.”
Thakrar added: “We’re delighted to support Sukhi on this acquisition and look forward to the hotel’s continued success under his ownership.”
