Greenfield Mortgages has announced a rate reduction for their bridging loans, which now start at 0.75% per month.

The regulated bridge was secured against the client’s current property and the property being purchased, valued in total at £883,000.

The loan was provided through a first charge over the customer's current residence, which will be used to repay their current mortgage, and the remaining amount will go towards the purchase of the new property in Sweden.

The lender said the number of home movers affected by slow-moving or collapsing property chains could be significantly reduced if more of them were aware of how bridging finance could help.

Richard Keen has joined Greenfield Mortgages to manage its corporate, key and national key account functions.
