The King said that "securing economic growth will be a fundamental mission" of his Government.

The King’s Speech alluded to the Leasehold and Freehold Bill, saying it would “reform the housing market by making it cheaper and easier for leaseholders to purchase their freehold”.

In line with the proposed Leasehold and Freehold Bill, the King recognised the introduction of the bill, in the hopes of “making it cheaper and easier for leaseholders to purchase their freehold.”

His Majesty The King officially opened the Leeds Building Society head office earlier this week, unveiling a commemorative plaque marking the building as one of the most energy efficient buildings in the region.
