The latest changes apply across all 2-year purchase products, enhancing the society's offering for both first-time buyers and home movers.

This award recognises the society’s ongoing commitment to helping people buy their first home, with products and support designed around the needs of first-time buyers.

The mutual has introduced new interest-only products for both purchase and remortgage customers.

Gareth Madeley said: "I’m thrilled to be stepping into the role at a time where we have an opportunity to make a real difference."

The Society has cut its 2-year fixed rate at 90% LTV to 4.95% with no fee, down from 5.00%.Â

Shared Ownership rates have been cut by up to 0.65%.

Over 5,500 first-time buyers (FTBs) took their first step into homeownership, with 72% of homebuyer mortgages supporting FTBs.Â

The new policy allows applicants earning over £40,000 and up to £60,000 to borrow up to five times their income.

The changes take effect from today and are aimed at supporting first-time buyers (FTBs) and home movers in the low deposit market.

The changes include more fee-paying options for 3-year fixes, and new 5-year fixed products at 85% LTV for both purchase and remortgage customers.

The changes include new product launches and price reductions across the existing range.
