The research showed 70% of advisers didn’t publish their fees online, leading to confusion for clients before they even sign up.

Over a fifth (21%) of consumers did not know how they were being charged, while 70% of advisers did not publish their fees on their websites.

Only 19% of advisers said they often talk to clients about intergenerational wealth transfer, while 52% said they rarely or never discuss it.

According to a study of more than 1,100 adults from Unbiased, over half (51%) of respondents said they feel pessimistic about the upcoming Budget.

Research found that Consumer Duty was the toughest regulation for advisers right now.

The feature reduces administration for advisers, freeing up time to focus on existing clients and relationship building.

Additionally, Unbiased found 70% of women valued clear communication when getting advice, compared to 61% of men.

34% of firms put finding new clients top of their list, and client retention followed at 23%.

The survey showed 40% would only use a human adviser, while another 34% were happy for a human adviser to use AI tools.

The study from Unbiased found that nearly half (44%) of advisers identified restricted budgets as their biggest marketing challenge.
