Access Protection Academy sees enrolment surge in 2024

The Access Protection Academy has reported a significant rise in enrolment numbers in 2024, seeing a 100% increase compared to the previous year.

Since Peter Phillips took on the role of training manager in early 2023, the academy has experienced a marked boost in its trainee intake, from an average of 10 to 20 new learners each month.

The academy, catering to industry newcomers, focuses on a thorough grounding in the protection market and products. Trainees also receive crucial sales and client management training that aligns with Consumer Duty regulations, including the identification of vulnerable customers.

After attaining Competent Adviser Status (CAS), some move on to pursue Certificates in Mortgage Advice (CeMAPs) at the Access Mortgage Academy, equipping them to provide informed mortgage advice.

Karl Wilkinson, CEO at Access FS, said: “Training is at the heart of our business. In the past year, we have also set up management and personal development courses and expanded our training and competency department.

“We want to make sure that our advisers develop the competence and confidence to approach customers with a wide product offering and financial advice that meets each customer’s individual requirements.

“Our ‘excellent’ Trustpilot score is 5/5 with 486 reviews, and I would attribute a significant proportion of merit to our excellent training and mentoring programmes.”
