Mortgage Business Expo (MBE) has named Ken Clark (pictured), deputy agent for the North West at the Bank of England, as the keynote speaker for MBE North 2025.
With his experience in economics and public service, Clark will offer attendees a valuable macroeconomic outlook on the UK housing and mortgage markets.
MBE North 2025 will take place at Manchester Central on 28th March 2025, bringing together brokers, lenders, and key industry stakeholders.
In addition to unveiling the keynote speaker, MBE North has confirmed that FIBA, the specialist property finance trade body, will again partner with MBE to host its Annual Conference at the event.
Attendees can also look forward to a seminar programme chaired by Victoria Hartley, client services director at Square 1 Media, with the schedule set to be released early in the year.
Mike Mikunda, director at MBE, said: “We are proud to welcome Ken Clark as our keynote speaker for MBE North 2025. His insights into the UK economy will offer attendees a valuable perspective on the Bank of England’s market outlook for 2025.
“We are also pleased to continue our close partnership with FIBA, whose Annual Conference will further enrich the event by attracting a wider audience of lenders and brokers, particularly in the specialist property finance space.
“As always, visitors can also earn CPD hours.”
Martin Reynolds, chairman of FIBA, added: “Partnering with MBE for our Annual Conference has proven to be a great fit for FIBA.
“It allows us to engage with brokers and lenders in a dynamic environment, providing a platform to explore the key challenges and opportunities facing the specialist finance sector.”
