Saffron for Intermediaries’ Tony Hall appointed to NaCSBA board

Saffron for Intermediaries’s Tony Hall (pictured) has been appointed to the executive board at the National Custom & Self Build Association (NaSCBA), to support the trade body’s mission to promote the custom and self-build sector.

This appointment reinforces NaCSBA’s relationship with Saffron, which recently supported NaCSBA’s annual report aimed at influencing and promoting the custom and self-build sector.

The 2023/24 report sought to highlight the untapped potential of self-commissioned homes in supporting government housebuilding targets, an avenue less embraced by the UK than its European neighbours.

Hall has 37 years of experience in the financial services industry, spanning mortgage sales, marketing, product development and distribution.

He will continue in his role as head of business development at Saffron alongside his new commitment at NaCSBA.

Peter Johns, NaCSBA CEO, said: “Tony’s extensive skills, understanding, and passion for the custom and self build sector speak for themselves, and I am confident that by welcoming him to the NaCSBA board, we can elevate our support for this important subsection of the market.

“Tony is a timely addition, given the popularity of custom and self build projects is growing across the UK, with people attracted by the ability to create a personalised and unique space that they can proudly call home.

“2024 is shaping up to be a pivotal year for us, and Tony will undoubtedly play a significant role in this.”

Tony Hall, head of business development at Saffron for Intermediaries, added: “I have long advocated for more custom and self build homes in the UK and look forward to this new chapter with an important organisation.

“As people look to create their dream homes, greater knowledge, encouragement, and support is needed from the industry.

“Custom and self build can help deliver more personalised, energy-efficient, and higher quality housing stock, and I look forward to working with the NaCSBA team to achieve this goal.”
