Top young mortgage brokers to convene at HSBC UK’s Emerging Talent event

Fifty outstanding young mortgage brokers are set to attend the second Emerging Talent event at HSBC’s Canary Wharf headquarters in London on Thursday 27th April.

Nominated by their firms, the brokers were chosen for their dedication to customer care and passion for success.

The event’s agenda includes insights from HSBC UK’s head of intermediary mortgages, Chris Pearson, as well as presentations on mortgage rate setting, economic updates, corporate sustainability, and the importance of personal branding.

Pearson said: “The younger brokers who are entering the industry now, will be the ones to shape it and take it forward.

“Our Emerging Talent Event recognises the customer-focussed start they have made to their career, and will hopefully provide them with a real insight into different elements of the mortgage business that isn’t typically seen by brokers.

“When we held the inaugural event last year, one of the brokers told me it seemed like “Top Gun for brokers”. Like those fighter pilots, being a mortgage broker is an important job. Many people are relying on you to provide the help they need to turn their home-buying dreams into reality.

“While I am sure some of the brokers we will reach dizzying heights in their career, enhancing their understanding of our role in the process will hopefully prove beneficial.

“We have been developing CPD-accredited learning sessions for brokers to help with their ongoing development. I am extremely proud that the Emerging Talent is CPD-accredited too and that we are able to help support the future of the broker network in a number of different ways, supporting the development of the skills and knowledge of the future of our broker network.”
